Wet Risers & Dry Risers

In tall buildings, wet risers and dry risers are used to move water up through the floors as an emergency source for the fire brigade. Here at Asco, we provide maintenance and repairs for these systems, as well as testing, to ensure they’re fully operational should they be required.

Wet Risers

A wet riser can keep a constant flow of water at all times and is used for buildings which stand at a height of over 50 metres. This is to ensure that emergency services have access to water immediately on higher levels without needing to wait for it to be transported upwards.

Dry Risers

When a building has a height of over 18 metres, a dry riser system can be used. The dry riser system allows emergency services to pump water into the pipelines to help tackle a fire on floors higher up.

With dedicated engineers operating across Duns, Ardrossan, Forfar, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Midlothian – as well as covering the whole of Scotland – you can count on our expertise to keep your dry and wet risers maintained.

From repairs to testing, if you have a wet riser or dry riser, get in touch with our team today. We are always happy to discuss your requirements, simply call or complete our quick quote form detailing your enquiry.
